An honest comparison

Honeyfell vs Pic-Time.

Pic-Time has spent a decade polishing editorial galleries, and this page doesn't pretend otherwise. Here is where that polish genuinely wins, where Honeyfell's one-product approach does, and how to try one without leaving the other.

Credit where it's due

Where Pic-Time is better. Really.

Pic-Time has spent a decade perfecting editorial gallery design, and it shows. Plainly:

Editorial polish

Storytelling grids, premium themes, album proofing, guest pre-registration — gallery craft honed on high-end wedding work for years.

Video, and music

Video hosting up to 4K, clips beside photographs in the same gallery, and slideshows scored from a licensed music library. Honeyfell is photographs only. It has a slideshow, but a silent one, on purpose — a client opening a gallery on a phone in a quiet room shouldn't have to lunge for the volume.

Store depth

Thirty-plus global labs with hands-off fulfillment on every tier, and a decade of automation options layered on top. Honeyfell has hands-off fulfillment too — through your own free Prodigi account, billed to you at wholesale — plus its own sales campaigns and gift cards, but the lab menu is one lab against their thirty.

An unlimited tier

The $50 Advanced plan offers unlimited photo storage. Honeyfell tops out at 500 GB — and stores finished JPEGs only.

Seeing is the argument

This is what your clients open.

Not a thumbnail wall — an arrival. Their name under your studio's, then a reveal that walks them through the shoot one photograph at a time, and the whole session lands in their camera roll with one tap. It's the same link on a laptop, and there's a real one in the footer of this page you can open right now.

The other side

Where Honeyfell is different.

Pic-Time is a gallery specialist that hands the rest of your business to integrations. Honeyfell is the whole studio under one roof.

A free plan that stays free

40 GB, flat. Pic-Time's free plan starts at 10 GB and shrinks to 3 GB after three months — it says so in their own fine print.

The whole business, built in

Bookings, contracts, payments and a real multi-page website live inside Honeyfell on every tier. On Pic-Time, studio management arrives by integration — a year of Studio Ninja free, then its own bill.

The camera-roll moment

One free App Store app for both sides — you deliver from it, clients browse, save the whole gallery in one tap, and order prints. Pic-Time's app is the photographer's; their clients get a very good mobile web gallery, and a whole-gallery download still arrives as a zip.

A person answers

Support is my inbox, not a ticket queue, and what photographers ask for tends to ship. The free plan is genuinely free — no card, no time limit.

Side by side

The numbers, plainly.

Month-to-month prices against month-to-month prices — annual rates in the note below, because comparing one side's discount to the other's list price is how these tables usually lie.

Pic-Time's prices checked August 3, 2026 at pic-time.com/pricing — billed annually, Beginner is $7/mo, Professional $21/mo and Advanced $42/mo; the storage reduction and commission terms are from the same page, which is always the source of truth. The app and download rows were re-checked August 7, 2026 against Pic-Time's own mobile-app page and their Pic-Time 2.0 release notes, which is where the single-photo camera-roll save landed in June 2026. The sales-automation, gift-card and slideshow rows were re-checked August 16, 2026 against Pic-Time's own help center. If something here has gone stale, tell me and I'll fix it the same day. Honeyfell's numbers are the published tiers, and the free plan needs no card at all.

One more number worth having: the table above is plan against plan, but most studios pay for two or three of these tools at once. Add up what the whole stack costs you today — the homepage keeps a working tally, against $15.

The honest recommendation

You don't have to choose today.

If your work leans editorial weddings and you want video, scored slideshows and thirty labs to choose from, Pic-Time does those things well. If what's missing is the whole business under one roof, and the reveal — the gallery on their phone hours after the shoot, saved to their camera roll before dinner — that is the thing Honeyfell was built around. Most photographers here started with sneak peeks alone and kept their existing delivery exactly where it was.
