Who built it

Built by someone who still shoots.

I'm Vince. I've had a camera in my hands for fourteen years. It started with dogs, with landscapes, and with a lot of cold nights waiting on the stars — none of which involved anybody on the other end waiting to see the pictures.

Then people started asking. Families first, then couples and portraits, and that changed the job. Now somebody was waiting, waiting to see themselves, and how the photographs arrived came to matter nearly as much as what was in them.

The arriving part, it turned out, was held together with five subscriptions and a spreadsheet: a gallery host, a contract tool, something to invoice with, a website, and me, remembering. None of them spoke to each other. All of them billed me monthly. So I built the version I actually wanted, and it turned out other photographers wanted it too.

Built with photographers, not at them.

Honeyfell is open to anyone who wants to try it. Every feature ships because a working photographer needed it — not because it demoed well. If something is broken or missing, you'll hear it from me directly, and I'll hear it from you.

Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Your galleries and your website can live on your own domain, with your logo and your colors, so the whole experience reads as your studio. Honeyfell stays out of the frame.
What happens to my photographs?
They stay yours. Honeyfell stores what delivery needs — the web-sized versions your clients see, and a full-resolution copy for paid-tier downloads and print orders. Your camera originals never leave your drives. Nothing is used to train anything, nothing is sold, and nothing is shown to anyone you didn't send a link to.
Who's behind Honeyfell?
Honeyfell LLC, run by a working photographer, in the open, with a group of other photographers. I answer the emails myself, and what you ask for tends to ship. If Honeyfell ever stops, you get 60 days' notice and every photograph out — that's in the Terms, not a promise in a blog post.
